Dr Ross Moore, Chair IT Committee

Ross gained a Doctorate in 1981 after studying Mathematical Physics and Algebraic Geometry at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. Prior to this he had studied Mathematics and Physics at the University of Melbourne. After a post-doctoral position at the Australian National University, Ross moved to Sydney in 1986, where he is now a Senior Lecturer at Macquarie University. 

Mathematical Typesetting and Electronic Publishing and presentation of Mathematics are two fields in which Ross has made useful contributions. He has authored various macro packages for use with TeX and LaTeX, and is on the Board of Directors of the International TeX Users Group (TUG), as well as the IT Advisory Committee for the Australian Mathematical Society.
