LIAR Keywords

The KEYWORD: field in the LIAR comment block is there to facilitate searches and for grouping purposes. While you can add as many keywords as you like, it is the first keyword that is the most important; since it used for grouping functions into logical units. However, it is of little value if there is no guidelines for the choice of keywords to be used. For this reason the LIAR has adopted the Z-IMAGE categories for library functions, which are outlined in Table 4.

KEYWORD DESCRIPTION
mathematical For functions performing arithmetic operations.
input/output For functions changing data from one format to another.
graphic For functions performing plots or displaying image information.
construction For functions that build images.
statistical For functions performing statistical analysis on image data.
colour/multivariate For functions working on multicomponent images.
neighbourhood filters For functions such as convolutions.
transforms For functions such as thresholding and FFT's.
morphology For all morphological functions.
microscopy For deconvolution and focusing functions.
geometry For computational geometry routines.
