Function definitions

The ANSI C grammar for a function definition is:

function-definition
declaration-specifier declarator delaration-list compound-statement
The declarator in the function definition must contain one of the forms:
direct-declarator ( parameter-type-list )
direct-declarator ( identifier-list )
The first form is the new-style C function declarator. The second form is the old C style. The LIAR uses the new-style C function standard. Furthermore, for semantic reasons LIAR C functions definitions should have the
declaration-specifiers direct-declarator (
on the one line and the declaration-specifiers being the first item of the line. Figure 7 provides an example.
