CSIRO Biotech
Imaging group will organise a satellite meeting/workshop in conjunction with
the ANS/AuPS 2010. It will be a half day workshop held on Thursday morning,
February 4, 2010. Transport will be provided from the conference venue to
CSIRO. A light lunch and morning tea will be served.
Title:
CSIRO Workshop on
“Automated Neurite Tracing and Image Analysis for Neurobiology”
Location:
Building
E6B, Macquarie
University Campus, North Ryde (Map)
Date & Time:
9:00am - 1:00pm,
Thursday, February 4, 2010.
Synopsis:
The
goal of this workshop is to
enable neuroscientists and
cell biologists to exploit
the power of automated image
analysis to characterize quantitatively neuronal
cell cultures. By using
software, considerable time
can be saved and a better reproducibility and statistical
significance
can be achieved.
Topics for discussion include :
-
Framing the problem: image analysis for cytomics and Drug
Discovery
-
Case study: Quantitative analysis of the Sez-6 minus phenotype
in cultured embryonic cortical neurons
using HCA-Vision
-
Case study: Cell scoring made easy.
-
Automated capabilities for mining High Content Analysis results.
-
Open floor discussion about image analysis for cell analysis
