| Statistical methods
are used in a number of the Research Groups located
within this theme. In particular, they form an important component
within the following research areas: |
Adaptive Supply Networks
Innovative supply chain solutions.
Statistical modelling of processes allows an understanding of how
variation is transmitted through processes.
This includes stockpile modelling.
Reliability and Asset Management
Management and maintenance of infrastructure assets.
Statistical
methods are used to model failure data so that failure rates can be
estimated. Predictions can then be made about future failures
and the performance of different management strategies.
