XunGuo Lin joined CSIRO in 2004 after more than
twenty years diversified research experience in numerical and statistical
modelling, risk analysis, operations research, control engineering and software
engineering.
Dr Lin's previous employments included 3 years at
Geoscience Australia as a senior numerical modeller, 6 years at Airservices
Australia as a senior project officer, 4 years at the University of Newcastle
and the University of Western Australia as a research fellow and post-doctor,
and 4 years at the East-China Research Institute of Computer Technology as a
software engineer.
Dr Lin's research achievements included the
development of severe wind hazard analysis, the radar separation standards for
Australian civil aviation operations, the safety analysis of military firing
ranges, and structural techniques in the synthesis of control systems.
