Position
CMIS's mathematicians, statisticians and software engineers develop tools and methods that allow decision makers to make smarter use of information that increases the profitability, and effectiveness of organisations and facilitates the adoption of new business models. CMIS Business Development team develop partnerships with organisations in Biotechnology & Health, the Environment and Industry through flexible commercial engagements that deliver real value.

Some examples of industry collaborations include:

Working with major Australian banks to build Operational, Market and Credit risk systems to satisfy Basel 11 requirements as mandated by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority http://www.apra.gov.au/

Licensing software used in leading image analysis software platforms such as Molecular Devices cellular imaging product ImageExpress http://www.moleculardevices.com/pages/instruments/imaging_main.html

Helping the Australian Greenhouse Office to develop the National Carbon Accounting System Toolbox http://www.greenhouse.gov.au/ncas/ncat/index.html a key tool in tracking greenhouse gas emissions.
