Manuscripts
MUST BE PREPARED with LaTeX. The style file is a LaTeX 2.09 format but it *can*
be compiled with any recent version of LaTeX (i.e: with LaTeX2e in
compatibility mode). Any other word
processing package is unacceptable.
The style file
kapproc.sty, available on the ISMM2002 homepage (www.cmis.csiro.au/ISMM2002/),
MUST be used. Postscript (and PostScript only) figures SHOULD be included with
the epsfig.sty file which is also available on the ISMM2002 home page (or with
any recent version of a LaTeX distribution such as teTeX on RedHat
Linux).
IMPORTANT: The following \documentstyle command should be
used in your manuscript:
\documentstyle[epsfig,numreferences]{kapproc}
DO NOT INCLUDE any other style
files.
IMPORTANT: For theorems, definitions, lemmas, etc. use the
standard \newtheorem
command. For example, type \newtheorem{theorem}{Theorem} at the beginning of your
document after the \documentstyle
command and before the running title command. Then type
\begin{theorem}
There exist integers ...
.
\end{theorem}
somewhere in the main text.
IMPORTANT:
References should be included as illustrated in the kapproc.tex file using the
\bibitem command. Files like .bib or .bbl WILL NOT be accepted. Make sure that the
bibliography format is identical
to that required by Kluwer (as illustrated in the kapprox.tex file).
TIP: If you have been using BibTeX for
your references,
just
copy the content of the .bbl file produced by BibTeX
into your main .tex file.
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT MAKE any changes to the kapproc.sty file,
such as changing fonts or font
size.
IMPORTANT: Submit the Postscript figures together with the
main text in a zip of
tar.gz archive.
Authors which are not able to use LaTeX should ask a
colleague or a good friend. Papers
must be limited to 10 pages including artwork and references.
Please
note that this time colour images, diagrams and plots *ARE* allowable. The proceedings will be available
electronically so you can use the facility. Note however that in the printed
book form the pictures will be printed in grey-tone. The main text should address
that issue (i.e: you should not rely on colour being present to help understand
your drawing or picture, it must be understandable if printed in black &
white).
IMPORTANT: Final papers are due January 14, 2002.
VERY IMPORTANT: Please note
that papers that are not in LaTeX, do not comply with the previous instructions, they are
too long or that
arrive late WILL NOT be included in the proceedings.
NOTE
THAT THE PAGE LIMIT HAS BEEN EXTENDED FROM 8 PAGES TO 10 PAGES !!
