Analyse Microarray Image Data

Description

Analyses a pair of images specified by batch name and index of the image pair within this batch.

The three external files

    images.<batch>
    parameters.<batch>
    template.<batch>

are read by this function, and must exist in the current directory. The Spot functions

respectively can be used to create these files, although the first two can be created manually also.

See http://www.cmis.csiro.au/iap/Spot/spotmanual.htm for further information.

Usage

Spots(batch, i)

Arguments

batch the batch name. A batch is a collection of microarray images whose overall geometric structure is the same.
i integer value specifying the index of the image pair to be analysed.

Value

A matrix with one row for each spot and one column for each of the measurements computed for each spot. The following web site describes the measurements produced: http://www.cmis.csiro.au/iap/Spot/spotoutput.htm.
