• performing consulting that is fully owned by clients on a time and materials or fixed price basis
• co-investment agreements where intellectual property and development costs and contributions are shared
• performing core research and licensing the resulting intellectual property to commercialisation partners

Confidentiality

The Division conforms with normal business practices with regard to confidentiality, usually entering into agreement with customers very early in negotiations so that all parties are clear on what is and what is not confidential.

Intellectual Property

Agreement on the ownership of intellectual property from a research relationship is negotiated as part of a formal agreement signed before research begins. CSIRO holds patents over a number of processes and products.
